Professor Linos at the Multidisciplinary Trauma mini-Conference Feb 19, 2017

Professor Linos along with Professor Papaggelopoulos opened the meeting “Multidisciplinary Trauma mini-Conference” which took place on February 19th 2017 at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

The meeting was held on the occasion of the extension of the partnership between the 1st University Surgery Clinic and the 1stOrthopedic University Clinic of “Attiko Hospital” with the Trauma Directorate of Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital (CHBAH), in Soweto. It also inaugurated a new collaboration between the Department of Orthopedics and Anaesthesiology of CHBAH, and the corresponding departments of the Netcare Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The aim was to educate Greek specialists (general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, paramedics) who face trauma in their clinical practice and are motivated to improve their skills and perform their jobs better.

As part of this collaboration, renowned experienced trauma surgeons from South Africa and Europe were invited. These guests included, among others, Prof. Elias Degiannis, Dr. Hendrik Sebastian Pieterse, Dr. Chris Giannou, and Dr. DietrichDoll.
