Professor Linos is a member of ACS since 1987, and since 2013 holds the position of Gover-nor of the American College of Surgeons – Greek Chapter. He has served as Member of the International Committee and President of the International Scholar Selection Subcommittee (2011). Their main objective is to decide on matters relating to the education and training of surgeons around the world, as well as to recommend scholarships for foreign surgeons.
International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES)
Professor Linos is a member of the International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC) and of the In-ternational Association of Endocrine Surgeons since 1984. He is also member of the Execu-tive Committee of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons, which is composed of the leading European and American Professors of Surgery. In 2015 and for a 2 two-year term, the Executive Council appointed him as the President of the IAES.
Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES)
Member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the lead-ing society in laparoscopic surgery, Professor Linos was elected in 2005 member of the In-ternational Relations Committee and Co-Director of the International Liaison Committee. This committee decides on the organization of educational seminars in laparoscopic surgery for local surgeons in cities and rural areas mainly in developing countries in Africa, South America, Asia and Europe.
