Professor of Surgery Dimitrios Linos will attend the annual American College of Surgeons (ACS) Leadership and Advocacy Summit the in Washington, DC on April 18-21.
The Summit is a dual meeting that offers volunteer leaders and advocates comprehensive and specialized educational sessions focused on the tools needed to be an effective leader, followed by interactive advocacy training and coordinated visits to DC congressional offices.
These meetings provide a great opportunity to interface and network with other surgeons who are similarly interested in engaging in the political process and improving their profession and care for their patients. Additionally, surgeons are able to gain further insight into the new decisions and legislation facing surgery.
