The symposium “The timely diagnosis of Breast Cancer, life compass”, organized by “Platyforos”, a Greek organization studying, researching and promoting civilization, took place in Zakynthos, on Saturday, March 15.
As one of the main speakers of the evening, Dr. Dimitrios Linos talked about breast cancer as a disease that can be prevented. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Linos is one of the authors on the European Guidelines for the surgical treatment of early breast cancer and has also worked in large scale programs targeting breast cancer prevention.
Dr. Athena Voutsi, actinologist, specialized in radiodiagnosing breast cancer, also talked about prevention and timely diagnosis of breast cancer. Finally, Mrs Amalia Beka, who is a volunteer of the Hellenic Women’s Association with breast cancer “Alma Zois”, shared her life experience.
The event took place in the School of Music in the Greek island Zakynthos, at 7:00 in the evening, to honor Woman’s Day.
