The 98th Annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) was held in Chicago, USA from September 30 to October 4, 2012. This year’s conference is of particular importance as it marks the anniversary of the 100 years since the founding of the College.
Professor Linos, member of the College and President of the ACS Greek Chapter, actively participated in the scientific and social activities of this year’s Congress. The aim for this year, as at the time of its foundation, was to promote high quality educational programs designed to train surgeons and enhance the health and safety of surgical patients.
This year’s annual meeting was attended by internationally acclaimed and leading physicians from all surgical specialties. At the conference, Professor Linos took part in the meetings of International Affairs (Global Affairs Committee) of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
