21 January 2012The 97th Annual Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) was held in San Francisco, USA from October 23 to 26, 2011. Professor Linos participated in both the scientific and social activities of this highly praised international scientific organization.
Experts and leading names from surgical and non-surgical specialties attended the College’s annual meeting. Professor Linos, among others, presented on the Endoscopically Assisted Transaxillary Thyroidectomy, as well as coordinated the session “The College’s International Travellers, 2011”.
Moreover, Professor Linos, as the Chairman of Scholar Selection Subcommittee of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) participated in the meetings of the ACS International Relations Committee. I addition, he participated in the meetings of the Program Committee and the Global Affairs Committee of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
The agenda of the congress consisted of a wide range of significant and novel issues regarding surgery, taking into account the different approaches of practicing medicine, as well as many other aspects that affect the daily lives of surgeons. The purpose of the congress was to help attendees advance their knowledge and acquire new skills on the latest developments on surgery.
